WHAT IS MINESWEEPER?
• Minesweeper is a single-player video game. The object of the game is to clear a minefield without detonating a mine. The game has been written for many system platforms in use today.
• The basic gameplay style became a popular segment of the puzzle game genre during the 1980s, with such titles as Mined-Out, Yomp, and Cube. Cube was succeeded by Relentless Logic, by Conway, Hong, and Smith, available for MS-DOS as early as 1985.
